CHARLOTTE, NC — The NCDOT is currently working with a contractor to finalize a plan for cleaning up the work zones along I-77.
Officials says a plan is being formulated with the contractor and will be rolled out “very soon” once it is finalized. The plan will include cleaning up any loose pavement markers and other debris that may be found along the I-77 work zones.
NCDOT officials also want to remind drivers and the public NOT to try and pick up any markers they may come across because of the dangers involved. Instead, they should call the highway patrol and give them the debris’ location.
Crews can then return to retrieve the debris.
