Wilson’s World: Taking us Inside the Charlotte Center of the USO in Charlotte Douglas Int’l Airport
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson is always ready to visit the USO of North Carolina every chance he gets. This morning he was with them at their center at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport talking with volunteers and military. US Navy PS2 Chris Young and PC2 Michael Garay talked with Wilson about what the USO means to them.
On Monday, May 29th, the Charlotte Knights will hold their Memorial Day Military Appreciate game. They will partner with the USO of N.C. to honor our military with special jerseys and tributes. First pitch on Monday at 2:05pm.
The big announcement of the morning came with the ribbon cutting for the newly named Harris Teeter Canteen. For months local Harris Teeter locations have been taking donations to help out the USO locations throughout North Carolina. So today was the day to thank Harris Teeter for all of the work they have done to help out North Carolina USO locations.
Harris Teeter continues to help USO of North Carolina. Customers can donate $1, $3, $5 when they check out.
