CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) β Attorneys for fired College of Charleston coach Doug Wojcik say a settlement has been reached with the school. Attorneys Ronnie Richter and Eric Bland said in a statement Tuesday an agreement was completed. College of Charleston spokesman Mike Robertson declined to discuss details of the agreement.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) β South Carolina backup forward Brian Steele will be out eight weeks with a right knee injury. Gamecocks coach Frank Martin said Steele, a junior, hurt his knee during workouts and had surgery last week.
KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (AP) β Stewart-Haas Racing is swapping pit crews in hopes of boosting Kevin Harvick’s chances in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. Harvick, who has been critical of his team’s slow pit stops, will race with the crew of teammate and team co-owner Tony Stewart beginning this week at Chicagoland Speedway.
