Wilson’s World: Visiting the American Red Cross
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson made a stop by the American Red Cross Charlotte Metro Chapter where he met young Wren Jansen who is just one of many children and adults who are impacted by blood donations.
Wilson talked with Wren’s mom’s Brandi about Wren’s diagnosis with leukemia and how important blood donations are needed for patients. Wren’s neighbors got together and organized a blood drive for Wren. Another drive has been scheduled for Labor Day weekend.
This year the American Red Cross in Charlotte will be celebrating 100 years of service to the people in the Charlotte area. And every year they are need of more blood donations. More details about how you can donate or if your group or organization would like to hold a blood drive go the Red Cross website at redcross.org.
