Miller was named to the NBA All-Rookie first team last season. He finished third in the Rookie of the Year voting.

Injuries have derailed the Hornets’ playoff aspirations this season. LaMelo Ball missed nearly three weeks earlier this season with a left calf strain; Miles Bridges has been in and out of the lineup with a bone bruise; and Grant Williams suffered a torn ACL in November.

The Hornets currently sit 13th in the Eastern Conference with a 11-29 record on the year.
