Biggest fentanyl bust in county history, says Chester Co. Sheriff

CHESTER CO., S.C. – Two people are in jail following what the Chester County Sheriff’s Office calls the biggest fentanyl bust in county history. Deputies arrested Travaris and Lamonica Dixon at their home on Berryhill Road on Friday. Investigators executed a search warrant at the home and found more than three pounds of fentanyl, about 87 grams of crack cocaine and about two pounds of marijuana. Deputies say they seized more than $91,000 in cash, 17 firearms and two vehicles.

Sheriff Max Dorsey says, “That 1,700 grams of fentanyl had the potential to be a deadly dosage unit to as many as 800,000 people. These are major drug traffickers who are facing a mandatory minimum of 25 and up to 40 years in prison.”

This is an active and ongoing investigation hat the sheriff says could result in more charges.
