HHS stops free at-home COVID tests by mail

WASHINGTON, D.C.– The federal government is no longer accepting orders for free at-home COVID-19 tests. That’s according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The agency did not immediately respond to a question asking why ordering has been paused. It is also unclear if the program is shut down permanently. The agency website says any orders placed before 8 pm eastern time on Sunday, will be shipped out. At home tests are still available at grocery stores and pharmacies.
