Garinger High School Students Show Wilson How They Help Those in Need

CHARLOTTE, N.C.  – Wilson wanted to make a trip back to Garinger High School to find out what how they have upgraded their Friendship Garden.  He talked with students, teachers and volunteers that were busy working in the garden and also inside the greenhouse.  He found out more about their aquaponics system which includes fish tanks.

The garden at Garinger HS garden is only one of the  Friendship Gardens throughout the Charlotte area that supply fresh foods to Friendship Trays.  Friendship Trays is a program that delivers over 600 meals each day in the Charlotte area to elderly, handicapped,

and convalescing people who are unable or greatly restricted in

their ability to prepare or secure meals.
