CHARLOTTE, NC — The NBA will move forward tomorrow with trying to force Clippers owner Donald Sterling to sell the team.  The NBA commissioner banned Sterling for life and fined him $2.5 million Tuesday for making racial comments.  An NBA owner’s committee will meet tomorrow to outline the next step.

Golf legend Phil Mickelson weighed in on the scandal at the Wells Fargo Championship in South Charlotte Wednesday.  “Yeah, it’s pretty consistent with the way everyone feels,” he said.  “I think it’s pretty cool what the commissioner has done and how he’s handled it.”

There could be a bidding war if the Clippers go up for sale.  Oprah Winfrey is reportedly in talks to join David Geffen and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison in a bid.  Sean “Diddy” Combs, Floyd Mayweather, and Oscar de la Hoya are also interested.
