VALDESE, N.C. (News Release) — On December 3, 2025, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 3488 Flat Gap Road in Valdese.
During the search, deputies seized 105 grams of methamphetamine, 57 grams of fentanyl, 8 grams of cocaine, 145 suboxone strips, three firearms, one bulletproof vest, and various items of drug paraphernalia.
As a result, Jesse Allen Whisenant was arrested and charged with Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine, Felony Trafficking Fentanyl and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Whisenant was taken before a Burke County Magistrate and received no bond. His court date is set for December 4, 2025.
At the time of his arrest, Whisenant was on active federal probation.
