4 Suspects Charged After CMPD Seizes Large Amount Of Drugs
CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has charged four suspects after seizing a large amount of drugs and cash earlier this week.
Three of the suspects were arrested around 9:15 Tuesday night. CMPD says Kenneth Bigham, 39, Chasity Morgan, 23, and Brianna Rosso, 22, were found inside a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of an Extended Stay America on Westpark Drive.
According to police, the Toyota Sequoia had been stolen out of Greenville, SC.
Police say a large amount of drugs, one firearm, and three stolen registration number plates were seized after quick search of the vehicle.
Bigham, a convicted felon with outstanding warrants for his arrest in South Carolina, is charged with Trafficking in Opium/Heroin, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
Morgan is charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Rosso is charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. CMPD says she also had several outstanding warrants for her arrest.
A fourth suspect in the case was also arrested later that night. Police say Jeffery Evans, 45, was arrested in the parking lot of a Jack-In-The-Box on Westinghouse Boulevard. He was charged with Possession of Heroin, Trafficking in Opium/Heroin, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
CMPD says these four arrests led to over two ounces of Heroin, three grams of Crack Cocaine, 560 Roxicodone tablets, 26 Clonazepam tablets, one gun, and more than $2,800 in cash being seized.
