Police Seek Help Identifying Man Possibly Connected To 15 South Charlotte Break-Ins

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police in Charlotte are asking for help identifying a suspect who may have been involved in more than a dozen residential break-ins in the Myers Park, Eastover, and Cotswold neighborhoods in the last month.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says there have been 15 residential break-ins since May 30th between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m.

In many cases the residents were home at the time of the crimes and the suspects often gained entry through unlocked doors or windows.  Police say the suspects are also targeting vehicles at the homes and that three vehicles have been stolen.

One of the stolen vehicles, a gray 2018 Audi Q5 SUV, has not been recovered.

Authorities are asking homeowners in these neighborhoods with home security cameras to review the recordings for possible footage of any suspects or suspect vehicles.

Police say citizens should call the 911 if they observe anyone acting suspicious.

The CMPD is attempting to identify the subject pictured above who was seen using a credit card stolen during one of the break-ins.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call 704-336-3053 and speak to a Providence Division Detective.  The public can also call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 or visit the Crime Stoppers mobile app website at http://charlottecrimestoppers. com/.
