Three hurt, one seriously after multi-vehicle crash on I-485 in University City

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three people are hurt following a multi-vehicle crash on I-485 in University City. The North Carolina Department of Transportation says the wreck happened just before five PM Monday on the inner loop just before University City Boulevard.

MEDIC confirms one person was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. Two other people suffered minor injuries.

The crash blocked three lanes of traffic. They have all since reopened.
