Court documents detail an investigation that, in 2016, identified Player as a regional drug trafficker in an organization that distributed heroin in the greater Charlotte area.

Authorities say Player trafficked over 100 grams of heroin which was often mixed with other drugs such as fentanyl.  Court records say on January 26, 2017, Player sold two grams of heroin to a 27-year-old female, who later died of a drug overdose.

Over the course of the investigation, investigators determined that Player conducted drug sales at or near a playground in Charlotte, and sometimes used the playground equipment as a drop-off area for drugs and money.

Player was arrested in July of 2017 after law enforcement executed a search warrant and seized narcotics cash and two loaded firearms.
