CHARLOTTE, NC — A man is facing several charges after police say he assaulted a child and her mother early Monday morning while they were walking to school.
According to reports, the victim was walking her 6-year-old daughter to school on Hilo Drive shortly after 7:30 when they were approached by Ronnie Carr. The mother told police Carr, 46, grabbed her daughter and then assaulted her when she tried to pull her daughter away.
Carr then walked away, according to police, only to return and expose himself to the victims.
CMPD says Carr was quickly located and taken into custody. He is charged with Indecent Exposure, Sexual Battery, Assault on a Child under 12, and Attempted Kidnapping.
