2 Arrested After Several Thousand Dollars Worth Of Items Stolen From Salisbury Business
SALISBURY, NC — Rowan County deputies have arrested two men they say broke into a golf cart business and stole several thousand dollars worth of tools and batteries.
The crime happened on Monday at the Custom Golf Carts on South Main Street. Deputies say 39-year-old Timothy Fox, Jr. and 36-year-old Michael Horne cut a hole in the building’s metal siding to gain entry.
Detectives say Fox was arrested while trying to sell some of the stolen merchandise at another Salisbury business. Fox was also in possession of “Crack” cocaine and drug paraphernalia at the time of his arrest, deputies say.
Horne was was also arrested after detectives executed a search warrant at his Salisbury home. Several items seized were reportedly confirmed to belong to Custom Golf Carts. Officials say they also seized drug paraphernalia and tools used to break into the business, including pry tools, bolt cutters and saws.
Fox is charged with Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretenses, Felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia other than Marijuana.
Horne is charged with Felony Breaking, Entering and Larceny, Felony Possession of Burglary Tools, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
