GASTONIA, N.C. — One person was killed in a crash on I-85 in Gaston County Tuesday. Β Officials say a pickup truck overturned in the northbound lane near Edgewood Road. Β
One of the occupants was ejected from the vehicle. Β That person was pronounced dead on the scene. Β
The other occupant was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Β No word on what caused the truck to lose control. Β The ramp from Edgewood Road (exit 13) remains closed at this time. Β
