GASTONIA, N.C. — One person was killed in a crash on I-85 in Gaston County Tuesday. Officials say a pickup truck overturned in the northbound lane near Edgewood Road.
One of the occupants was ejected from the vehicle. That person was pronounced dead on the scene.
The other occupant was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. No word on what caused the truck to lose control. The ramp from Edgewood Road (exit 13) remains closed at this time.
