Β CHARLOTTE, NC — A U.S. Airways flight from Dallas to Charlotte requested security assistance upon arrival Friday. Β The FBI says there was a “security concern” on board the flight.

A passenger told WCCB Reporter Audrina Bigos that he just wants to know what happened and why law enforcement had to get involved. Β Right now, the FBI is not telling us any details about the nature of what is being called a “security concern”.

According to officials, U.S. Airways flight 744 from Dallas-Fort Worth requested assistance from law enforcement when it arrived at Charlotte-Douglas. Β The plane landed safety just before 5:30pm Friday. Β Passengers say they were allowed off the plane by 7pm.

“Everybody got us on the ground safely,” said King, NC resident Larry Victory. Β “I’m not gonna complain about it, you know? Β I mean, it was a little confusing, but, you know, it’s better than what could have happened.”

The FAA says that any time the plane doors are closed, the FBI has full jurisdiction. Β They say no one on board was hurt, but they are interviewing passengers as part of their safety protocol.
