CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Anyone living in North Carolina, who would love the chance to be cast as an extra in a major motion picture, is encouraged to apply through Tona B. Dahlquist Casting for a new film with the working title “Evolution.”
The family drama is inspired by a true story that follows a young man with a bright future who suffers a near-fatal accident after an innocent time with friends at the lake. As he deals with his injuries, he must learn to overcome adversity with the help of family and an unlikely friend.
Casting officials say there are several specific extras needed for the film including disabled veterans who use a wheelchair or have had a limb amputated, current or former law enforcement agents, actual medical personnel, college age students, and extras that can portray townspeople.
Officials say anyone interested in being considered to be an extra in this film must submit the following to NCMovieExtras@gmail.com:
- Two current photos (close up and full length). They can be cell phone pictures.
- Name.
- Phone number.
- Age.
- City and state you reside in.
- Height and weight.
- Clothing sizes (including shoes).
- Descriptions of any visible tattoos or piercings.
- Color/Make/Model/Year of your vehicle you drive so it can booked for a scene.
Casting officials say all extras will be paid, and around 600 extras are needed for filming in May in Charlotte, Raleigh, Saluda, Hickory, Statesville, and Huntersville.
The names of Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning actors involved in the movie will be announced at a later date.
