LANCASTER, S.C. — Police say parents in Lancaster were arrested and charged for the death of their 1-year-old daughter on Thursday.
Shaquanda Page, 28, and David White Jr., 26, are charged with homicide by child abuse and six counts of unlawful neglect of a child in this case, according to a news release.

Officers say they responded to reports of an unconscious child on Monday, February 22nd at 9:45 p.m. on Pardue Street, and discovered a 1-year-old child unconscious and not breathing.
Police say the child died after being taken to a local hospital.
The child’s death was investigated by the Lancaster Police Department, the S.C. Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office.
