SALISBURY, N.C. — Police say a shooting in Salisbury left a man visiting from Alabama dead. Β Officers responded to a call in reference to shots being fired on E. Lafayette Street. Β
When they arrived on the scene they found 36-year-old Shanta Lomax dead. Β Lomax was originally from Salisbury but moved to Alabama and was in town visiting. Β
No arrests have been made at this time. Β Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
