Wiggins became the best option for the Cavs once Jayhawks center Joel Embiid (joh-EHL’ ehm-BEED’) suffered a stress fracture in his right foot shortly before the draft. The 76ers snared Embiid with the third choice after the Milwaukee Bucks picked Duke freshman Jabari Parker.

BETHESDA, Md. (AP) — Tiger Woods carded seven bogeys and four birdies for a 3-over 74 in his first competitive round since undergoing back surgery three months ago. He is tied for 83rd and in danger of missing the cut through 18 holes of the PGA’s Quicken Loans National at Congressional. Greg Chalmers finished with three straight birdies for a 66 and a one-shot lead over Ricky Barnes and Freddie Jacobson.
