Jack Taylor joined the WCCB Charlotte Sports team as a Sports Reporter/Anchor in February of 2023. Alongside the rest of the Bahakel Sports crew, he is excited to cover the best highlights and stories the area has to offer!
Jack came to WCCB from 59News in Beckley, West Virginia. He was hired as a reporter for WVNS, but he quickly became a jack of all trades. In the two and a half years he spent in the Mountain State he reported, produced, became the weekend anchor, filled in both morning and night and got the chance to highlight high school sports in the area throughout the year. He is excited to bring that same work ethic to WCCB.
Jack graduated from the University of South Carolina in May of 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic. Throughout college Jack interned at Seacrest Studios at Levine Children’s hospital and at ESPN radio in Charlotte. In Columbia, Jack produced and co-hosted his own sports talk show through student media, interviewing Gamecock legends and alumni.
Jack is excited to return back home to Charlotte, where he was raised. He is an alumni of Providence High School, where he played football and worked as a reporter for the school newspaper. Journalism is in his blood and he knew from a young age he wanted to tell stories and always be around sports!
Off the clock, Jack never gets tired of talking about Charlotte sports, much to the dismay of his family and girlfriend who he loves to spend his time with. Jack has not been a resident of Charlotte since he went off to college and he is excited to explore everything the area has to offer.
