LONG POND, Pa. (AP) β€” Dale Earnhardt Jr. started yesterday’s NASCAR race in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, from the ninth position but left the rack with a win. He led just 14 of the 160 laps and took the lead for good on a restart with three laps remaining to hold off Kevin Harvick to earn his third win of the season.

LEXINGTON, Ohio (AP) β€” Scott Dixon likes the IndyCar track at Mid-Ohio in Lexington, Ohio. He went from last in qualifying to capture his fifth win at Mid-Ohio in the last eight years. Dixon led a total of 45 laps and captured his 34th series win and first since Houston last October.
