Cannon Forced To Wear Electronic Monitoring Device And Be On House Arrest For Illegally Voting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A judge is making former Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon wear an electronic monitoring device and be on house arrest for violating the conditions of his bond by voting in the midterm elections.

Cannon is a convicted felon since he pleaded guilty to federal corruption charges in October.  It is illegal for felons to vote in elections.

Cannon will serve his 44-month sentence at a prison in West Virginia beginning on November 18th.
