Β Florida’s head football coach says he’s not proud of a sideline tirade that is nowΒ stirringΒ up debate on social media. Β It all happened Saturday, when running back Kevin Taylor got a 15-yard penalty for makingΒ a throat-cuttingΒ gesture after a touchdown late in a game against East Carolina.
When Taylor got to the sideline, Jim McElwainΒ laid into himΒ in front of everyone.Β Β Later that night a video clip surfaced, capturing the audioΒ and video.
Of course, people started slamming the coach online, saying he went too far. Β When asked about it at news conference, McElwain didn’t exactly apologize, but still said heΒ regretsΒ the outburst.
Β Which makes us wonder: Do you think the online outrage is an example of the wussification of America?
