Wilson’s World: Shopping with Buckets Blakes of the Harlem Globetrotters
Wilson found that even a Globetrotter enjoys a little vintage and bargain shopping at the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson found out today that you never know who you will run into while shopping at the Sleepy Poet. Buckets Blakes with the Harlem Globetrotters was taking a stroll through the aisles when he and Wilson met up. Buckets gave Wilson a little demonstration of the skills that helped him become a member of the most famous basketball team in the world.
Buckets and his fellow teammates will be hitting the court at Halton Arena on the campus of UNC Charlotte this weekend. He arrived in town early to take the opportunity to visit schools, hospitals and even YMCA locations talking with students about bullying prevention.
It is the 90th anniversary for the Harlem Globetrotters and they will be going retro when they hit the court Saturday wearing throwback uniforms. The Globetrotters will have 2 shows this Saturday, March 26th 2:00pm and 7:00pm. To find out more about the Globetrotters shows check out the link HERE.
