Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Eugene Monroe says ‘the T-Train’ is the line of football players waiting to get their painkiller shots before a game.
Monroe now wants the league to lighten up on marijuana use in order to reduce the use of opioids and other pain medication..
The offensive tackle discussed the topic in a first-person essay for the Players’ Tribune.
He asking for the league to make three changes:
First — remove marijuana from the banned substances list.
Also — fund medical marijuana research, especially as it relates to brain disease.
Finally — he wants the league to stop over-prescribing addictive and harmful opioids.
Do you think the NFL should remove medical marijuana from the banned substance list?
