Police may bring criminal charges after the incident at the Cincinnati Zoo this weekend.

The review will look into the actions of the boy’s parents. They’ve been identified by several media outlets as Deonne Dickerson and Michelle Greg.

Michelle defended herself in a Facebook post, writing in part, “God protected my child until the authorities were able to get to him. My son is safe.”

The boy got away from his mom, slipped past a fence and tumbled into the moat of the gorilla habitat Saturday. Cell phone video shows the 450-pound Harambe dragging the boy around the enclosure for 10 minutes.

The endangered gorilla was shot and killed. The decision is being defended by zoos across the country.

Should anyone be held criminally responsible?
