GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Troopers are investigating a deadly accident on Dallas Stanley Highway near Lineberger Street in Stanley. The crash happened just after 8 a.m. According to a North Carolina Highway Patrol trooper, a woman driving a green Ford Explorer crossed the center line and collided with a silver minivan. The woman died at the scene. We are told the driver of the silver minivan was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities have not released the name of the woman at this time. This is a developing story, check back for updates.
