CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The NC Music Factory is always rocking and this summer has been no different.  But this summer they will be going out with a bang when they throw their big Southern Social on Friday, September 11th.  Wilson was with Ken Thomas of NCMF this morning to find out more about the Southern Social.

Heading the event is St. Paul and the Broken Bones. A rock and roll band with a lot of soul in their horn section.  They have opened for the Rolling Stones and will be playing the House of Blues in Cleveland later this year.

Enjoy the best southern fried chicken in town thanks to Prices Chicken Coop and one of the south’s favorite sandwich treats, pimento cheese, from Queen Charlotte’s Pimento Cheese Royale.

After a night of music, food and beverage Yellow Cab will be offering free rides though their YC mobile app.  Hendrick Mini has also teamed up with NC Music Factory and will be at the event.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Greater Charlotte SPCA.
