CHEROKEE, North Carolina (News Release) – The world’s most prestigious brand in poker, the World Series of Poker (WSOP), is returning to Harrah’s Cherokee Hotel & Casino Resort, a staple venue on the WSOP Circuit tour that runs multiple large-scale series each year. The upcoming festival, which runs from November 27 to December 8, is the final Circuit stop of 2025 and historically one of the largest, consistently drawing major fields and multimillion-dollar prize pools.
The schedule of events includes 18 WSOP trophy tournaments, with entry fees ranging from $400 to $1,700. Anchoring the lineup is the $1,700 buy-in Circuit Main Event, which takes place from December 5 to 8 and is guaranteed to award $1.5 million in prize money. The most recent installment of the Harrah’s Cherokee Main Event, held in August, saw 1,437 entrants compete for a six-figure grand prize. In a remarkable finish, New York native Zachary Fischer was crowned champion, taking home $324,135.
A $400 buy-in Turkey Day 30K event kicks off the series on Thanksgiving. Other notable tournaments on the schedule include the $400 buy-in Mini Main event (Nov 28-30) with a $750,000 guaranteed prize pool, and the ever-popular Monster Stack event (Dec 2-4), also with a $400 buy-in and $750,000 guaranteed.
As well as big paydays and trophy rings, event winners will also win a package to The Bahamas to play in the WSOP Paradise Circuit Championship, valued at $5,000. As soon as next week, they will have the chance to head to the sun and play for a share of $5 million.
But even those not in the running for a trophy ring in Cherokee have the chance to head to Paradise. PokerOrg subscribers can pick a fantasy poker team of three players in the Circuit Championship, and the team that accumulates the most points will win their fantasy manager a $30,000 package to play in the $60 million guaranteed WSOP Paradise Super Main Event.
