AP: Evette and Wilson to advance to run-off on June 23rd in Republican primary for SC Governor

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Associated Press has called the Republican primary race for South Carolina governor, and it will be headed to a runoff.

None of the candidates are projected to reach 51 percent. That means the top two projected finishers, current Lt. Governor Pamela Evette and Attorney General Alan Wilson, will advance to a runoff election on June 23rd.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham is on his way to clinching his fifth term in the senate. Graham won the Republican primary for senate Tuesday. He will face off against Democrat Annie Andrews in November.
