Cooler Labor Day evening with summer heat returning this week
Heat and humidity returning Wednesday
Tuesday, stays on the sunny side with highs in the mid to upper 80s, keeping us below those oppressive 90s. A few isolated afternoon thunderstorms could pop up, but most of us stay dry.
By Wednesday, we’ll turn a little warmer. Expect partly sunny skies with temperatures climbing to around 90 degrees. The humidity will be noticeable and we start feeling the heat yet again.
Then Thursday and Friday, the heat really starts to creep back in. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds each day, with highs reaching the low 90s. Rain and thunderstorm chances also make a comeback, especially during the afternoon and evening. This will be typical summertime pop-up storms, so not everyone gets rain, but if you do, it could come down pretty quickly.
As we head into the weekend, we settle into a more classic late-summer pattern. Look for partly sunny skies, plenty of humidity and those hit-or-miss afternoon and evening thunderstorms.Temperatures ease back into the mid to upper 80s.
