Carolina Panthers’ Quarterback Cam Newton Undergoes Foot Surgery

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton underwent surgery on his Lisfranc injury on Monday.

Joe Person of TheAthletic.com tweeted that Newton had the surgery in New York under Nets Dr. Martin O’Malley. He performed Kevin Durant’s Achilles’ procedure.

Newton is expected to be done with rehab and healthy by spring. His future with the Panthers remains in question.
