GASTONIA, N.C. — A dangerous and bizarre case of road rage in Gastonia. A man says three people chased him and assaulted him after pulling up next to him at a red light. The incident happened back on January 13th.
The man says he was playing his music loudly at a red light on West Franklin Street when three people in a white Silverado pulled up next to him and yelled out a racial slur. The man says he drove off, and the driver of the truck chased him, rammed into his car several times, and even jumped out of the truck and struck his car with a baseball bat.
“I sped up and like, he kept on coming, so I started running lights, running lights,” the man says.
He says there were two other people inside the truck with the driver and they chased him, five miles away, where it ended in a subdivision on Cassidy Drive and Etta Place. The man was not hurt in the incident.
