CMS Releases COVID-19 Case Numbers For Students And Staff

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools released the latest COVID-19 numbers for students and staff.Β  From January 3rd through January 9th, CMS says 1,249 students and 615 staff tested positive for COVID-19.Β  There are an additional 1,982 students and 689 staff quarantined.

AAA: Rising Oil Prices Could Push Gas Prices Higher In Carolinas

Gas prices in the Carolinas dropped another one to two cents last week, with motorists continuing to find discounts at the pump – but those prices could soon edge upward due to the price surge in crude oil, which is closing in on $80 per barrel. Since the global price for oil accounts for nearly half of what consumers pay at the pump, higher oil costs will usually result in higher gasoline costs.
