INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) β Fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers got their first look at Kevin Love yesterday. Acquired in a blockbuster trade from Minnesota, Love told Cleveland fans not to worry about the opt-out clause of his contract because he’s in it for the long haul with LeBron James. Love and James teamed up to win a gold medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) β Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller underwent season-ending shoulder surgery yesterday. Coach Urban Meyer says Miller tore the labrum in his right shoulder a week ago. The fifth-ranked Buckeyes now have to rely on redshirt freshman J.T. Barrett to lead the team
UNDATED (AP) β Six-time Pro Bowl guard Logan Mankins has been traded by New England to Tampa Bay for tight end Tim Wright and a draft pick. The Bucs have not ruled out possibly signing guard Richie Incognito, who was one of the central figures in the Miami Dolphins bullying scandal last season.
