Alma Adams Meets With Former CMS Employee After Her Contract Not Renewed

CHARLOTTE, NC– A former Harding University High School staffer seen on video being attacked by students is hoping a U.S. Congresswoman can help her get her job back.

CMS did not renew former Harding High administrator Annette Albright’s contract. She says the district needs to do more to keep teachers safe.
Albright and civil rights activist John Barnett met with U.S. Representative Alma Adams today.

“I was very encouraged by the words to keep pushing forward. That every organization, not just CMS, but every organization has an obligation to protect their employees.” said Albright.

Albright plans to send a letter requesting a meeting with CMS Superintendent Ann Clark. Four of the students involved in the fight earlier this month are facing charges.
