One Wisconsin Workforce Is Getting An Upgrade

CHARLOTTE, NC — A Wisconsin vending machine company says they will start implanting employees with microchips beginning next week.

The chips will allow employees to open doors, log into computers, use copy machines, and buy food in the break room at the wave of a hand. The chips are about the size of a grain of rice and will be implanted between the thumb and index finger.

The microchips do not contain GPS and are not mandatory, but that hasn’t stopped some people from being a little unnerved.

The EDGE panel is weighing in on the high tech upgrade, and debating whether it’s worth the risk.
