Jeff Taylor joined the WCCB Sports Team in August of 2022 as a Sports Anchor/Reporter. Jeff’s main focus will be bringing you the best in high school sports coverage. While working for WCCB, Jeff will also be providing content for Bahakel Sports.
Before joining WCCB, Jeff had two main careers in his life. He started in broadcasting with WWBT in Richmond, Va. as a Sports Producer/Photographer and worked there for three years. From there, he moved to Hampton Roads, Va. where he was the Saturday morning Sports Anchor/Reporter. While there he was promoted to Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter for the Fox Affiliate, Fox43. After three years in Hampton Roads, Jeff and his family moved to Charlotte where he worked for The Nashville Network (TNN) as a Reporter for a show called Raceday. He worked on that show for three years before stepping away from broadcasting.
His next adventure was in Youth Ministry where he became Youth Director for Christ Lutheran Church in Charlotte working with middle school and high school youth for almost 15 years. During that time he attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN where he received a Master of Arts.
After his time with the church, Jeff found his way back to broadcasting and joined WCCB. Jeff lives at home with his wife and younger son. He is the father of three boys. As for his free time, Jeff enjoys taking walks with his wife, teeing it up when he can and driving around the Queen City with the top down on his Jeep.
