The wait is almost over for the Runnin' Bulldogs. Gardner-Webb's season was moved to spring due to the coronavirus pandemic, but teams in the Big South are allowed to play up to four non-conference games this fall.
COVID-19 hasn't been friendly to the UNC Charlotte 49ers this year. The school's athletic department announced Friday that their Saturday game will be postponed after a coronavirus cluster was reported involving the team.
