Two-Alarm Fire Damages Home On Hearth Lane Southwest

CONCORD, N.C. – Forty firefighters from Concord and Harrisburg departments battled a two-alarm fire on Hearth Lane Southwest in Concord Friday morning.

The fire caused significant damage to a two-story home, displacing residents, but thankfully no one was injured.Β  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

At 7:27 a.m., the Concord Fire Department was dispatched to a reported dwelling fire at 1047 Hearth Lane SW in Concord.

The first unit arrived at 7:30 a.m. and found fire and smoke showing from the rear and attic areas of a two-story house. One resident was home at the time but was already outside the house when firefighters arrived. A second alarm was called at 7:56 a.m. and the fire was brought under control at 8:18 a.m. There were no reported injuries, and the American Red Cross is assisting the displaced resident.

In total seven Engines, two Ladders, one Rescue, two Battalion Chiefs, one Division Chief, one Deputy Chief, and one Safety responded with a total of 40 firefighters. The Concord Fire Department was assisted by the Harrisburg Fire Department and Cabarrus County EMS.
