Duke University scientists study new treatment for prostate cancer

DURHAM, NC – Duke University has been studying a new treatment for prostate cancer patients.
Doctors say it is helping them live longer.
According to a new study, enzalutamide plus regular hormonal therapy extends the lives of patients by 30 percent.
The study found the treatment extended life expectancy from four to seven years in patients with high volume disease, with more than 75-percent of patients with low volume disease living beyond five years.
