A native of Alabama, Trish studied English/Journalism at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Prior to landing her first on-air job, she worked for several years as a TV news producer.
Trish loves mentoring youth and takes an active role in training young journalists.

CMPD arrested 36-year-old Tyson Corpening in connection to the shooting of a park ranger and the vandalism of a daycare.
Officer Phillip Barker is charged in the death of James Short back in 2017. Police say Barker hit and killed Short, a student at CPCC.
Dominic Salazar and Damien Gonzalez were shot at a playground in Fred Alexander Park back in November. Two juveniles are facing charges of murder.
A second suspect is now in police custody in connection to a deadly drive-by shooting on Highland Avenue NE. A third suspect is still at large.
