Tyson Foods Recalls Ready-To-Eat Chicken

Tyson Foods Inc. has recalled approximately 8,955,296 pounds of their ready-to-eat (RTE) chicken products that may be adulterated withΒ Listeria monocytogenes, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) as of late last week.Β

Atrium Health To Build Hospital In Lake Norman

A new, 30-bed hospital will soon be built in northern Mecklenburg County. State officials have approved a certificate of need request from Atrium Health to construct a 160,000 square-foot facility in Cornelius, North Carolina.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Launches Fine Free Initiative

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library is now fine free. The initiative kicked off on July 1 which restored full Library access to more than 150,000 county residents and provided a one-time amnesty removing fines and fees from past due accounts.
