An investigation is underway after a helicopter crash in Union County. Officials say the pilot was able to walk away. It happened just before Noon on Sunday in a field on Roscoe Howey Road in Waxhaw. According to investigators, the helicopter struck power lines while crop-dusting.

Six-Year-Old Dies After Car Struck in Gaston Co. Street Racing Crash

Highway Patrol says a six-year-old has died following a street racing crash in Gaston County. Investigators say two cars were racing on U.S. 74 near Sparrow Springs Road just before 9:30 on Saturday night, when one of the cars crashed into a third car with a father and child inside.
