In his spare time, Marvin is an avid Atlanta Braves fan and also follows the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Hornets.
With his mom a native of the Philippines, Marvin enjoys sharing his Filipino culture with others. He got his love of broadcasting from his dad, who is an amateur radio operator and retired high school teacher.

CMPD reported that bullet shell casings were found in front of the home of James Dunmore, the currently hospitalized boyfriend of Allisha Watts.
According to the warrant, Watts was last seen the afternoon of July 16th. Her cousin told CMPD Watts was last seen getting into her boyfriend's car that day. The car was at his home located at 1633 Pamela Lorraine Drive in Charlotte.
