Morgan has won numerous awards throughout her career including several from the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas. Morgan, her husband and their two children share their home with three dogs: two French bulldogs, Winston and Etta (a rescue) and a Doberman, Rachel (also a rescue).
