Bridge Girders To Be Set At I-485 Interchange June 6th

Starting June 6th, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will be setting bridge girders on Interstate 485 at the Johnston Road interchange. To safely complete the work, all lanes will close on the outer loop will close just after midnight Tuesday, June 6.

Delta Air Lines Hit With Lawsuit Over Claims Of Carbon Neutrality

A consumer class action lawsuit filed Tuesday claims Delta Air Lines inaccurately billed itself as the world's “first carbon-neutral airline” and should pay damages. The complaint in federal court in California alleges the airline relied on carbon offsets that were largely bogus.

CATS Announces June Service Changes

Beginning Monday, June 5, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will adjust schedules on bus routes 16 – South Tryon and 56 – Arrowood, to improve on-time performance.

Charlotte Man Killed In Gastonia Shooting

Detectives from the Gastonia Police Department are investigating the shooting death of 50-year-old Frankie Carl Jones of Charlotte. The shooting happened on May 25th outside a home on Crescent Lane.
